THE asking price for the freehold of the Bridge Hotel, on Station Road in Scunthorpe, has been lowered to £1 million.
The 20-bedroom hotel, which opened 60 years ago at a cost of £55,000, is said to be ideal for redevelopment either as student accommodation or as a block of one and two-bed luxury apartments.
In 2001, the Bridge was offered for sale at £650,000, but in recent years owner Bill Smith has been seeking £1.5 million.
