SKYGAZERS are looking forward to a series of lunar events which will create a spectacle of a supermoon and blood moon.
The three events will see a full moon, a lunar eclipse (in which the Earth blocks the sun's light from reaching the moon) and a lunar perigee or supermoon (when the moon is in the closest part of its orbit to Earth and appears 8% larger than normal).
The next supermoon eclipse will not take place until 2033.
It should be visible from anywhere in the UK, cloud cover depending.
