Did you see the supermoon over Scunthorpe?
Skygazers were looking forward to a series of lunar events which created a spectacle of a supermoon and blood moon in the early hours today (Monday, September 28).
The three events saw a full moon, a lunar eclipse (in which the Earth blocks the sun's light from reaching the moon) and a lunar perigee or supermoon (when the moon is in the closest part of its orbit to Earth and appears 8% larger than normal).
The next supermoon eclipse will not take place...
