A PETITION has been launched calling for a zebra crossing to be installed in a busy area of Scunthorpe.The facility to help pedestrians cross the road safely is being suggested for Collum Avenue, Ashby, between St Bede's Academy and the Lincoln Gardens roundabout.Set up by mum Victoria Emerson to ensure the safety of children, she said the road was busy during school times and she had seen far too many "near collisions".
