A number of objections have been made about plans to create a new Scunthorpe waste transfer station on Plot 21, Midland Road.
This will involve the storage of household waste for collection at regular intervals for shipment to landfill sites.
Geo Houlton & Sons Limited, of Hull, is seeking planning permission from North Lincolnshire Council for the development.
Objections have been lodged with the authority by a number of businesses in that part of town.
