New series of walks designed around Scunthorpe

RAMBLERS from across Britain could soon be making huge strides toward Scunthorpe.For retired engineering metallurgist Nigel Hainsworth has designed a 32-mile circular walk around the town.It takes in some of Scunthorpe's best-known sights and industrial heritage and has been given approval by the Long Distance Walkers' Association.The walk, called the Opencast Way, has taken Keadby-based Mr Hainsworth, 68, two years to plan.The official start of the walk is the car park at Atkinson's Warren in...
