FREEZING weather is set to hit the Scunthorpe area, according to forecasters.
After a mild winter so far, temperatures are set to plummet this week, with a cold snap due to hit North Lincolnshire.
The latest forecast from the Met Office suggests minimum temperatures will remain above freezing point for the early part of the week, staying at around 2C.
But a minimum emperature of -1C is currently forecast for Thursday (January 14), only warming slightly to 0C on Friday and dropping back to -1C...
