Fire crews tackle major blaze on cargo ship

HUMBERSIDE Fire crews are helping tackle a blaze on a cargo ship that caught fire off the east coast this morning.The vessel, called the Elbetor, was transporting wheat from Killingholme to Rotterdam.The ship, which is about five miles off Cromer, Norfolk, sent out a mayday message at 5.20am after a fire started in the accommodation area.Humberside Fire and Rescue Marine Response Team, based at Immingham West, were flown out to help the seven crew of the 3,250 tonne boat."The team of six...
