THE Tata Steel works in Scunthorpe is on the brink of being saved, according to reports today.
Tata chiefs – who are in the process of making 900 workers redundant – have been locked in talks with Greybull Capital over the sale of the Long Products Division.
It came after Tata said the Scunthorpe works had no future in its portfolio after March 31.
Today, The Times reports that a deal between Tata and Greybull has virtually been sealed.
