EMERGENCY services responded to a potentially "major" situation as an aeroplane encountered a fault with its landing gear as it approached to land at Humberside Airport this morning.
The incident described as a "potentially critical situation" by a Humberside Fire and Rescue spokesman happened at around 9.30am when a warning light signalling a problem with the Jet Stream 41 craft's landing gear was spotted by the pilot.
