TRIBUTES have been paid to former Scunthorpe United player David Sloan who has passed away, aged 74.
After signing from Bangor, Mr Sloan made 136 appearances for the Iron, including three substitute appearances, scoring 42 goals.
The former Oxford player has played with England legends George Best and Ron Atkinson before. He previously lived in Burton-upon-Stather.
