AN 85-year-old pilot had been flying "a bit low" when his home-made plane crashed into a lamp post and nose-dived into a road at a North Lincolnshire airfield seriously injuring himself and a passenger, a report found.The pilot, who had been flying for about 30 years, was carrying out some circuits at Sandtoft Airfield on October 31 when the plane came down at about 12pm, according to the report by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch.
