VISITING hours at Scunthorpe General Hospital are to be extended.As part of a three-month pilot scheme starting today (Saturday), ward 18, ward 11 and the stroke unit will be open to visitors from 11am to 8pm.The change has been prompted by patient and visitor feedback.They have asked for greater flexibility to go into hospital to visit family.Specialist units such as maternity, neonatal, intensive care and children's wards already have more flexibility.But visiting hours on other wards will...
