OFFICIALS of a licensed Scunthorpe club have imposed a 10p a pint increase to pay for the staff's national living wage rise of 50p a hour.
Secretary Jacqui Burton said it was the first beer rise in three years at Foxhills Institute and that a pint at between £2.35 and £2.60 was still among the cheapest in town.
Officials at the Mill Road Club, Ashby, have kept their promise to keep the price of a pint of John Smiths Bitter at £2.35.
