A TOWN in North Lincolnshire has appointed an experienced town councillor as its new mayor .
Don Johnson received the only nomination to replace the outgoing Fran Fletcher at a meeting of Winterton Town Council last night (Tuesday, May 17).
He was voted in unanimously by the town council
Cllr Johnson has served as Cllr Fletcher's deputy mayor for the past year and paid tribute to her tenure saying, "I hope I can live up to the great work you have done."
