Work is due to start next month on a £1. 3 million plan to convert the derelict site of the former Majestic Cinema and an adjoining vacant office in Scunthorpe into 12 apartments.
The development, by the owners at Doncaster-based firm of Haldenby Estates, comes nine years after the cinema in Oswald Road was demolished.
The first stage of the work starting on June 6 will see the demolition of the adjoining former Whitegates estate agents.
