Planning approval is being sought to convert a former bookies in Ashby High Street, Scunthorpe, into a family-friendly café.
The application for a café and associated play area has been made by Hayley Duggan, the owner of the Little Saplings pre-play school group.
The group is based in Ashby Community Centre in Everest Road.
The site for the proposed cafe has stood empty for more than three years after Corals relocated the business to nearby Broadway.
