A BIRD strike has forced a Red Arrows jet to divert to Cardiff Airport to check for damage to the aircraft.
It happened on Bank Holiday Monday as the nine-strong display team and their Red 10 spare and photo aircraft were flying back to RAF Scampton near Lincoln.
They had completed a very busy weekend with displays at three different venues and were on their way back to their Lincolnshire base.
