DISCOVER the spirit of summer this Sunday (August 9) as various gardens across Appleby will be available for public viewing as part of an open gardens and scarecrow day.The walk trail runs from 11am until 4pm and will feature at least 12 open gardens together with over 25 scarecrows around the village.There will also be a raffle, plant and craft stalls and refreshments available throughout the day.
