Woman rescued from river after falling from Humber Bridge

A WOMAN had to be rescued after falling from the Humber Bridge on Sunday (August 16) evening. Lifeboat crews and the Humberside Coastguard were scrambled to rescue the woman, who is in her 20s, from the Humber Estuary. They were called to Hessle Foreshore at 7.19pm. Eyewitnesses told the Hull Daily Mail how they saw a lifeboat carrying the woman on a stretcher and being brought ashore.
