Permission has been granted for new equipment to be added at the Boots store on the outskirts of Scunthorpe.
It is located in Unit 2 at the new North Lincolnshire Shopping Park, Gunness.
Council planners have agreed to three air conditioning units being added at the rear of the building.
The council did not consider the equipment would have an adverse affect on the locality.
