A COUPLE have celebrated their platinum wedding anniversary.Ken, 92, and Joan Walker, 91, of Avenswood Lane, Scunthorpe, celebrated 70 years of marriage on Tuesday.The pair met at age 17 in 1941 when Mrs Walker moved from Essex to the outskirts of Hull to escape the prospect of bombing in her home town of Dovercourt.After moving in 2010, they now live together in Scunthorpe.The romance began when Mr Walker spotted his wife-to-be walking along a street and, after catching his eye, whistled at...
