A steam train rebuilt with steel made in Scunthorpe hit 100mph last night on one of Britain's main rail lines for the first time in 50 years.
Tornado, a Peppercorn Class A1 locomotive, which was rebuilt in Darlington in 2008, reached the speed during testing on the line between Newcastle and Doncaster.
