HEAVY rain is forecast to hit Scunthorpe later today (Wednesday).
The Met Office expects heavy rain to fall at around 3pm, despite some sunny intervals throughout the day.
Forecasters say there is a 60 per cent chance of precipitation at 3pm, with an 80 per cent chance of further heavy rain at 6pm.
Showers are expected throughout the late afternoon and evening, before becoming dry and cloudy at around 9pm.
