TATA Steel bosses in Scunthorpe have warned motorists they intend to enforce a law designed to protect young passengers from passive smokingFrom October 1 it will be illegal to smoke in vehicles with anyone under the age of 18 inside.Tata Steel insists the law will be upheld on the 2,000-acre Scunthorpe site.Under the new rule both the driver and the smoker could be liable to a £50 fine. But the rule does not apply to a convertible car if the roof is completely down.
