British banking giants Barclays have denied a report in the national press that as many as 30,000 staff could be axed by the end of 2017 as part of a corporate reorganisation.
A spokesman today said that the original plan announced in May last year to cut back 17,000 jobs by 2017 was still in place.
The company has yet to reveal if any jobs will be lost in North Lincolnshire.
