Scunthorpe firm Clugston Construction will be hosting a major event for suppliers in the Humber region tomorrow (Friday).

North Lincolnshire Council is looking to take on 10 seasonal workers - a sure sign that spring is just around the corner!
These jobs are on a salary scale paying £13,715 to £14,338.
They are seven-month fixed-termed posts.

The following offender was dealt with at the Court Centre in Laneham Street, Scunthorpe, with North Lincolnshire magistrates hearing the matter and passing sentence:
MARK OWEN BARRATT, 46, of Sheffield Street Scunthorpe, was found guilty of theft and pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody and committing a further offence during the operational period of a suspended sentence order. He was jailed for nine weeks and ordered to pay compensation of £15.92.

Unemployment rises in Scunthorpe but worse expected as Tata Steel...

Figures released today for January show there were 2,029 men and women on the dole – a rise of 80 on the previous month.

Barry Horstead, who played for Scunthorpe United during their stay in the old Division Two between 1958 and 1964, has died.
He is widely regarded as one of the Iron's best-ever defenders.

A MAN remains in hospital after a crash on the A18 Kingsway in Scunthorpe yesterday (Wednesday, February 17).
The incident happened shortly after 9am and involved a blue Ford Focus and a silver Vauxhall Corsa.
