MOURNERS packed out the Woodlands Crematorium in Scunthorpe this morning (Tuesday, February 28) for the funeral of Hayley Gascoigne.

HOMELESS men are back sleeping on the landings and staircases of the Trent View House block of flats on Scunthorpe's Westcliff Estate.
Concerned tenants thought the problem was over after a previous squatter was found emergency accommodation by North Lincolnshire Council.

Inquest opens into death of crash victim Paul Kirby
AN INQUEST has opened into the death of crash victim Paul Kirby who died after sustaining serious injuries.
Humberside Police said Mr Kirby, 46, died last Thursday (February 23) in Hull Royal Infirmary following his admission after the single-vehicle crash on Winterton Road shortly after 6pm on Sunday, February 12.
Coroner's officer Janet Newell confirmed this morning (Tuesday, February 28) that the 46-year-old, of South Side, Winteringham, died of a head injury.

Search continues for the most wanted in our region
HUMBERSIDE Police are still searching for the most wanted criminals in our region.
Nine people, including eight men and one woman, were included on the list.
The appeal to track them down was launched almost two weeks ago through a partnership between Humberside Police and the Scunthorpe Telegraph.
So far, police have confirmed that one person on the list has been found - Michael Jewitt, 32, wanted on prison recall, was arrested and returned to prison.

New Subway store set to open tomorrow
A brand new Subway in Scunthorpe is set to open its doors to the public tomorrow (March 1).
The fast food giant is set to open its doors at the Asda store on Burringham road at 7am.
Trading hours will be from 7am until 10pm Monday to Saturday and from 9am until 5pm on Sundays.
The branch is to become the sixth in Scunthorpe.

Property firm centralises staff at Scunthorpe site
SCUNTHORPE estate agent Paul Fox is to centralise his businesses in Scunthorpe and expand operations into Epworth.
A £100,000 investment will see Mr Fox move 30 staff members involved in commercial, sales and lettings next year into the former office of solicitors Sergeant and Collins, at the corner of Mary Street and Oswald Road.
Mr Fox, who started up his business 26 years ago, said he planned to retain the historic frontage of the building, which dates back to 1905.
