AN ENTREPRENEURIAL cattery owner who was "always looking to help others" has died aged 62.
Julie Carter ran the Five Star Cattery in Wrawby for more than 30 years and appeared on television when the business was featured in the Catcall series.
She also raised thousands of pounds to help children affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
Mrs Carter died of cancer at her home in the village last Sunday (March 19).

A NORTH Lincolnshire man who has worked at concerts alongside Michael Jackson, The Human League and other big stars returned to the area to share memories of his years in the music industry.
In addition to working behind the scenes in stage management, sound and lighting, Chris Moore, from Brigg, also played trumpet on a Boo Radleys top 10 hit in the mid-1990s.

Schools in North Lincolnshire are expected to lose more than £9 million in funding in real terms by 2019, according to new figures.
The figures come from data collected by the website School Cuts which says that schools across the country are facing a funding crisis.
The data from schoolcuts.org.uk looks at reallocated school budgets according to the proposed new national funding formula, and not increasing funding per pupil in line with inflation.

Moped driver flees after crash and leaves injured passenger...
A MOPED driver in Scunthorpe crashed into a parked car before fleeing the scene and leaving an injured passenger behind.
The incident happened yesterday (Saturday, March 25) when the moped driver crashed into the parked car on Barlings Avenue.
When Humberside Fire and Rescue attended the scene at around 9.12pm, they found the injured moped passenger with with cuts and lacerations to both legs. They were treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

She did it! Grace has hair chopped and raises more than...
AFTER growing her hair for the best part of her life, Scunthorpe youngster Grace Shaw has had her hair chopped off for charity.
Seven-year-old Grace Shaw had her hair cut off yesterday (Saturday, March 25) for the Little Princes Trust - a charity that provides children who have lost their hair through cancer treatment with real life wigs.
Grace had 10 inches of her hair chopped off at Luxe Hair Salon on Doncaster Road, Scunthorpe and has raised £562.

FURTHER cases of scarlet fever have been reported in the Scunthorpe area as the illness's peak season continues.

A SCUNTHORPE hospital worker dishonestly claimed over £26,000 in benefits, a court heard.
Sheik Abdul Mokid, 38, of Farthing Avenue in Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to failing to notify North Lincolnshire Council about a change in circumstance for his housing benefit and failing to notify the Department of Work and Pensions about a change of circumstance for his disability living allowance.
