FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a caravan incident in North Lincolnshire.
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said they received a call shortly before 12pm yesterday (Sunday, April 9) on Epworth Road, Owston Ferry, involved a "derelict static caravan" on fire.

Phil Lowry, a keen runner from Scotter, has decided to pull on his trainers and step out to raise funds for Scunthorpe hospital's Maternity Bereavement Suite appeal.

19-year-old man charged with TEN offences
SCUNTHORPE man Thomas Edgar will appear in court this morning (Monday, April 10) charged with 10 offences.
The 19-year-old, of Rochester Close, was wanted by police and was finally arrested on Saturday morning (April 8) following a six day hunt.

WASTE collection dates in North Lincolnshire are set to change for the Easter period.
Waste and recycling collections will be a day earlier next week as there is no collection on Good Friday (April 14).

Collections due on Wednesday (April 12) will move to Tuesday.

Police recover 14-foot trailer stolen from industrial estate
POLICE have recovered a 14-foot trailer which was stolen from a Lincolnshire industrial estate.
The incident was posted on social media by Andy Liddle along with CCTV footage of the incident.

POLICE officers and staff from Humberside Police gathered outside Scunthorpe police station for a two minute silence to remember fallen colleague PC Keith Palmer.
The 48-year-old was stabbed to death by Khalid Masood as he carried out his duties on the cobbled forecourt of the Palace of Westminster.

Cash and spirits stolen from Scunthorpe pub
CASH and spirits have been stolen from a Scunthorpe pub.
A spokeswoman from Humberside Police said that the thieves forced open a back door of the Lincoln Imp on Gloucester Avenue, Ashby, between 1am and 10am on Saturday, April 8.

Did you see youths riding a stolen bike in Scunthorpe?
HUMBERSIDE Police are asking for information after a group of youths stole a mini moto bike from someone's garage.
The bike was stolen from a garage in the Traviss Close area of Scunthorpe and ridden around by a group of young people 9.30am and 9.50am on Saturday, April 8.

Fruit firm overcharged 47 times in one month by Humber Bridge tag
THE Humber Bridge tagging system has overcharged a fruit merchants 47 times in just one month, they say.
Dennis Butler Ltd, says it has been overcharged using the tagging system on its trucks since November 2015.
Paul Mennell, transport manager for the fruit merchants, based in Hessle, said in February the firm was overcharged more than £300 for using the bridge.

A BURGLAR stole a much-loved jewellery box from a woman's home after breaking into her bungalow.
He was trapped from DNA on his blood at the scene and his girlfriend was later found wearing a bangle stolen in the burglary, a court heard.
Sean Dunnaway, 48, of Cole Street, Scunthorpe, admitted burglary on April 30 last year.
