UK Steel, the trade body which represents the Tata Steel works in Scunthorpe today (September 24) hosted a national forum in London to discuss the growing crisis in the industry.
The Association has warned that the industry is facing "a perfect storm" and has urged the government to take five immediate steps to ensure its survival.
The emergency steps include reducing business rates for plants like Scunthorpe and backing European Union (EU) action on anti-dumping measures.
