THE Scunthorpe Telegraph has been named Weekly Newspaper of the Year at the O2 Media Awards (Yorkshire and Humber).
The Telegraph picked up the award at a ceremony at York Racecourse last night (Thursday, September 24) after being shortlisted earlier in the year.
We beat the Scarborough News and Harrogate Advertiser to win the title with the award presented by Emmerdale actor Bhasker Patel.
The judges said: "The Scunthorpe Telegraph was 'rammed with news stories'.
"It had good lifestyle content...
