SCUNTHORPE JobCentre Plus has pledged to help support the town's steelworkers.
Yesterday Tata Steel confirmed it was axing 900 jobs in the town.
A steel task force has been set up by North Lincolnshire Council and the JobCentre says it will be working with the authority to help people back into work.
