DOZENS of Filipino nurses are on their way to Scunthorpe.
Health bosses have made the appointments in a bid to cut crippling staffing agency costs.
The Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Trust, which runs the Diana, Princess Of Wales Hospital, has confirmed it has offered roles to the nurses.
Last week, trust staff also flew out to Portugal in a bid to attract more nurses from there.
The moves make the trust one of the biggest employers of overseas health staff in the region.
