GOVERNMENT funding of up to £80 million could be made available to help a deal to save Scunthorpe's Tata Steel works go through, according to national reports.
The Sunday Telegraph has reported steel industry sources as saying the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills is likely to provide a loan of around £70 million to £80 million to help a planned takeover by Greybull Capital.
