Road closures are to take place at Keadby Bridge, which carries traffic between Scunthorpe and the Isle of Axholme.
Lengthy detours will be in place within the steel town as repair work is conducted.
It was originally stated it would be fully closed on Monday April 4, Tuesday April 5 and Wednesday April 6.
However, at 1.20pm today Network Rail revealed that the bridge will only be closed at night and will remain open to traffic during the day.
