A VIOLENT boyfriend could have killed the woman who loved him after viciously stabbing her with a knife during a "dreadful attack".
He angrily threatened to kill and stab her during an argument about his drinking but she bravely fought back and saved herself by grabbing a dumbbell weight and hitting him on the head with it, a court heard.
Michael Bradley, 41, formerly of Queensway, Scunthorpe, admitted assaulting Sara Smith, causing actual bodily harm, on July 21.
