TO LET! Pub firm looks for new tenants to run The Tavern in...
NORTH Lincolnshire's biggest pub operators, Enterprise Inns, are looking for a new leaseholder to take over the running of The Tavern in the High Street.
The To Let sign was put up yesterday (January 12) - three weeks after the owners took the decision to close the 117-year-old pub.
Local publican Chris Mappouras, who took charge on a temporary basis of the Tavern in November 2014, ruled himself out of a return, insisting: "Let someone else have a go".

A DECISION on plans for a new mosque in Scunthorpe has been deferred.
North Lincolnshire Council's planning committee discussed the application at Scunthorpe's Civic Centre this afternoon (Wednesday, January 13).

POLICE are appealing for information to locate a 21-year-old wanted in connection with a suspected burglary in Scunthorpe.

The following offender was dealt with at the Court Centre in Laneham Street, Scunthorpe, with North Lincolnshire magistrates hearing the matter and passing sentence:
JAMIE COURTNEY, 33, of Frodingham Road, Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to theft and threatening to cause criminal damage. He was jailed for six weeks, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80 and a criminal courts charge of £150.
