Vaughan and Sheryl Harrison, 60, both require wheelchairs and wanted to add an extension to make room for a full disabled access toilet downstairs at their home on Westburn Avenue, New Holland.

A FUNERAL service for former Scunthorpe night club bouncer Sean Ladley will be held at All Saints' Church, Winteringham, today (Friday, February 24) at 1.30pm.
Father-of-two Sean died aged 44 years on February 6.
His death came six years after he survived a horrific car crash which led to his neck being broken in three places

Disruption to phone lines at Scunthorpe General Hospital
PATIENTS of Scunthorpe General Hospital have been warned of potential disruption to the phone lines on Wednesday (March 1).
The potential disruption follows the decision by Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLaG) to install a new telephone system, which will bring new ways for staff to communicate and move over to non-geographical numbers.

Thirty jobs could be set to come to Scunthorpe as the local authority is in talks with outdoor adventure company Go Ape.
North Lincolnshire Council has been in discussions with the company to bring an adventure park to Normanby Hall Country Park.
Go Ape is a Tree Top Adventure course – a high ropes obstacle course with zip wires and rope swings with different levels of challenge. The nearest Go Ape is near Nottingham.

Name released of motorcyclist who died in Bottesford crash
THE name of the motorcyclist who died after a crash on Holme Lane, Bottesford, has been released.
Coroner's officer Janet Newell confirmed this morning (Friday, February 24) that Steven Gilleard was the the 37-year-old motorcyclist who tragically died on Wednesday evening (February 22).
Humberside Police said the motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries after his green Kawasaki motorbike left the carriageway shortly before 5.30pm.
An inquest is expected to open next week.

POLICE have released helicopter footage of jailed thug Clint Clay during a rooftop stand-off with police last July.
Clay, 24, of Frodingham Road, viciously attacked a man with a machete and was at the centre of a high-profile rooftop stand-off.
The attack victim was lucky he was not killed and it was probably only because he put his arm up that he did not die, a court heard.

£47k windfall for popular town park
BARTON's Friends of Baysgarth Park is celebrating a £47,000 windfall thanks to funding body WREN.
This money is on top of the £75,000 committed to Baysgarth Park by North Lincolnshire Council for 2017/18.
The council has been working with the Friends of Baysgarth Park to put together a plan of improvements to the park with the hope of achieving Green Flag status.

BOSCH is recalling faulty gas hobs over fears that they could explode in extreme cases.
The recall is due to potential damage to installed gas connectors. It means, in certain circumstances, gas could escape in an uncontrolled manner. In extremely rare cases a risk of explosion can arise.
Models affected are Bosch: NGU4151DB and Neff: T20S31N0. The recall applies to cookers manufactured between 2009 and 2011.
